Sufferings of city dwellers, especially the Mirpur residents have already begun before the construction of the metro rail even started, reports Somoy TV. However, the advancement in the work of the metro rail will only add to the distress of the city dwellers.
To construct the metro rail, the road from Mirpur 12 to Mirpur 10 has been unusable since service company lines are being removed. In accordance to the rules, water is supposed to be dispersed to reduce dust from the area but it is doubtful that this is occurring in reality. Experts have made several recommendations to reduce the sufferings in the project area. If those measures are implemented then the hardships will be reduced.
According to Somoy TV’s report, the 20-kilometre metro rail’s first phase starts from Uttara to Agargaon. This will begin in the mid of 2019. The next phase of the metro rail which is from Agargaon to Motijheel route, will being after 2019. After the whole project has been constructed, it would take on 38 minutes to reach Motijheel from Uttara.
