A colleague once asked me to write an article on how to fall in love with the right person; the person you know will be there by your side, come hail or storm.
Well I don’t know about forever my darling, but I sure know falling in love isn’t as easy as its chunked up to be. The depictions we see these day are merely representations of infatuation and lust fostered off as love and emotion.
Let me let you in on a lil’ secret: You can only fall in love when you’re ready to fall in love. Paradoxical? Scary? Confusing? Yupp, your right, its all of those things and so much more.
Now say for example you’re ready to take that leap of faith but you can’t exactly do it alone. It takes two to tango. So now you must go out in search of the perfect specimen that will corner your attention and hold it-long tern- or for as long as you’re willing to work at it. Yes, love takes loads of work; it’s not mushy-mushy forever you know!
You’ve spotted you potential soul mate not far in front of you- Now what? You WAIT and see if you get any signal from their side. This is a very intuitive fore-play kind of point, where you’re speaking via eyes and little motions of pretending to not be looking at the person of interest but you keeping a very close eye on them indeed!
If you don’t receive any forthcoming feelings from the other side you have to take the decision to either move on or become a stalker for life immortal. If you’re not ready to take any big decision, just follow the cardinal rule of being patient. Mull over the idea of the two of you together, stuff you’re interested in and can’t live without, even your quirks- Will the other person be able to accept you for who you are?
If you’ve gotten the green signal all around, I’d say move in for the kill. There’s no point in wasting good time people! Just keep in mind that if this does end, it’s not the end of the world and you’ll soon be back on your feet in some time.
