A court here on Tuesday convicted a man and sentenced him to death for killing his wife in Rampal upazila on Bagerhat in 2014.
The convict was Habi Sarder, son of Jahir Sarder, a resident of Gona Balay village of the upazila.
According to the prosecution, Hasina Begum, 32, daughter of Torab Ali Mollah, a resident of Buridanga village of Mongla upazila, was tortured to death by her husband Habi on October 21, 2014 over family feud.
