Three people, including two women, were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Natherpetua on the Comilla-Noakhali regional highway in Monohorganj upazila on Tuesday morning.
Sub-inspector Lutfar Rahman, in-charge of Lalmai highway police camp, said the accident took place at about 7:00am when the Noakhali-bound bus collided with the auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction, leaving a woman dead on the spot and five other people critically injured.
Another woman and a man died on way to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
